GETTING TO KNOW YOUR LAHAR-30

The Lahar-30 is full auto and magnum rated, has no barrel length restrictions, and features a fully laser welded, hybrid construction, made up of 17-4 stainless steel with an Inconel blast baffle. A wire EDM bore ensures perfect concentricity and consistency every step of the way. Industry-standard 1-3/8x24 TPI threads allow for the use of direct thread adapters, the Aero Precision Mantle Quick Detach system, and other common QD adapters utilizing this thread pitch.

INSTALLATION

Other notes on installation here:

Your suppressor will come with either a direct thread or Mantle QD mount installed. To remove your mount, use the supplied wrench and turn the mount counterclockwise. When installing either a direct thread adapter or Mantle QD mount onto your Lahar-30 suppressor, first ensure that all threaded surfaces are clear of any debris and apply a liberal amount of anti-seize to your threads before installation. Thread your mount by hand into the rear of the Lahar suppressor and turn clockwise until tight. Snug utilizing the supplied wrenches.

BEFORE USE

Before using your suppressor—ensure that it is properly installed to the host firearm and has been checked for concentricity using a properly sized alignment rod.

The use of an alignment rod will help ensure concentricity between your host firearms bore and the bore of your suppressor. Proper concentricity is important as it will minimize your chances of a baffle strike and damage to your suppressor. If your alignment rod makes contact with any portion of the suppressor do not attempt to fire with the suppressor attached as it will likely result in a baffle strike.

*Note: Alignment rods are caliber specific. Ensure you are using the correct size alignment rod for your host firearms bore.

CARE & USAGE

When using the Lahar-30 it is important to ensure it is snuggly attached to the host firearm. This is especially important when using a direct thread adapter as direct thread suppressors will walk themselves loose over time. A loose suppressor can often result in a baffle strike and permanent damage to the suppressor. Your suppressor will become hot during firing. Before touching/handling your suppressor ensure it has returned to the ambient air temperature and wear a heat resistant glove.

COMPATIBILITY

Caliber Compatibility: 5.56X45 NATO – 300 WIN
Common calibers include: 5.56x45 NATO, 300 Blackout, 6mm ARC, 6.5 Grendel, 6.5 Creedmoor, 308 WIN, 7.62X51, 300 WIN.

*Note: The Lahar 30 is compatible with Combloc calibers such as 7.62x39 and 5.45x39. It is extremely important to ensure thread concentricity when using a suppressor with these calibers as AK-47/AKM pattern rifles frequently have non-concentric bores. Do not use corrosive ammunition with a Lahar-30 suppressor.

MAINTENANCE

Your Lahar-30 Suppressor requires very little cleaning and maintenance due to the nature of centerfire rifle suppressors. A light amount of oil on the exterior of your suppressor will help protect its finish from moisture damage.

Note: Do not soak your suppressor in solvent as it can result in finish damage. Test any oil or solvents on a small area of surface to avoid unintentional finish damage. If using a Mantle Quick Detach system, ensure that the mounting surface of your muzzle device is clear of any fouling buildup or debris.

The internals of your Lahar-30 suppressor do not require any cleaning or maintenance under normal circumstances.

Do not insert any foreign objects including bore cleaning patches into your suppressor.

GENERAL QUESTIONS

What calibers is the Lahar-30 rated for?
The Lahar-30 is rated for centerfire rifle cartridges no larger than .30 caliber up to .300 Winchester Magnum.
Can I shoot the Lahar-30 on short-barreled rifles/rifle caliber pistols?
Yes, the Lahar-30 has no minimum barrel length requirements.
Can I shoot .22LR, short, or magnum through the Lahar-30?
No, this will result in drastically accelerated fouling and a reduction in sound performance.
Can I mount the Lahar-30 to my AK47/AKM derivative?
Yes. BUT you should first ensure that your muzzle threads are concentric. AK47/AKM barrels are notoriously non-concentric and may cause a baffle strike.
Will the Lahar-30 work well on my 5.56/.223 rifle?
Yes. The Lahar-30 still provides amazing sound and flash reduction even when used with calibers smaller than .30.
What mounts are compatible with the Lahar-30?
The Lahar-30 utilizes 1-3/8x24 mount threads. This means any direct thread or quick detach mount utilizing these common threads will fit the Lahar-30.
What POI shift can I expect?
POI shift can depend on several different variables such as platform and barrel length/profile. When used in conjunction with a Mantle Quick Detach system you can expect consistent POI shift between installations.
Is the Lahar-30 user serviceable?
No. The Lahar-30 is fully welded. Centerfire rifle suppressors require little to no cleaning for the life of the suppressor.
Is the Lahar-30 full-auto rated?
Yes. The Lahar-30 is rated for fully automatic fire.
What type of finish does the suppressor have?
The body of the Lahar-30 features a high-temperature Cerakote finish.
Is it normal for the suppressor to discolor over time?
Yes. Heat cycling to extreme temperatures over time can cause your suppressor to change in color.
Can I use a crush washer with my Mantle compatible muzzle device?
No. Your Mantle compatible muzzle device should be installed with shims.
Do I need to use a Mantle compatible muzzle device with my Lahar-30?
Only when using the Mantle Quick Detach mount on your Lahar-30.
Is the Mantle Quick Detach mount compatible with other pattern muzzle devices?
No, the Mantle Quick Detach mount is ONLY compatible with muzzle devices specifically designed to work with a Mantle mount.

DISCLAIMERS

When using a firearm, always adhere to the 4 rules of firearms safety:

  1. Treat every firearm as if it is loaded.
  2. Always keep your firearm pointed in a safe direction.
  3. Keep your finger off the trigger until you have acquired a proper sight picture and are ready to fire.
  4. Be aware of your target and what is behind it.
  5. The first round fired through your cold suppressor will be marginally louder than sequential rounds fired. This is caused by the oxygen present in your suppressor before firing. Once this oxygen has been displaced from the suppressor during firing you will experience optimal sound performance.
  6. When using your suppressor it will retain heat when fired. This can result in very hot surface temperatures when firing.
  7. Do not touch your suppressor if it is hot as this will result in burns.
  8. Check Proper Alignment before firing.
  9. Do not use frangible, tracer, unjacketed, or corrosive ammunition in a Lahar-30 suppressor. Only use factory new ammunition from a reputable manufacturer.
