Bear Hunting Is Conservation

Fighting Unsubstantiated Legislation Against Predator Hunting

If you all follow along with the PNWild social media channels or listen to our podcasts, I am sure you have heard about the ongoing attack on predator hunting, namely bear hunting, that is happening here in Washington. That attack is now spreading to other states, such as Colorado, who are currently fighting to keep cougar and bobcat hunting. If you do not follow along please take a look, or listen to a podcast or two and get informed.

If these anti-hunting groups get their way with predator hunting, I can guarantee you they will not stop there. Deer and elk hunting will be next, then bird hunting, and then they will come after fishing. The end goal for them is to completely get rid of humans hunting or fishing, even when populations are healthy and our interaction with nature is necessary to keep a healthy balance in the ecosystem.

Anti-hunters do not base their stances off of any firm scientific data. Our own state biologists support bear and cougar hunting as a healthy, sustainable resource. Yet, the wildlife commission in this state actively chooses to disregard our biologists and our hunters and instead adopt and push the agenda of blatant anti-hunting organizations.

They are actively taking away opportunities for you and I to put healthy, organic, sustainable protein into our freezers to feed our friends and families.

Maintaining The Right To Hunt

We at PNWild are doing what we can to spread awareness and rally the troops to keep pressure on the commission to manage wildlife properly, the way our state wildlife biologists suggest. All hunters want the healthiest and best populations of wild animals. We are not bloodthirsty monsters killing everything in sight. Our hunting opportunities, seasons, and bag limits are already highly regulated and allow for healthy populations of animals to live on the landscape.

T-Shirt Partnership With HOWL

To help with this fight we teamed up with a phenomenal organization in HOWL to create a shirt that could raise awareness and some funds to aid in the fight. HOWL has been at the forefront of all of these issues making the process of contacting commissioners and legislators as streamlined and simple as possible. They have big plans to continue aiding all people who enjoy hunting, fishing, foraging, bird watching, and any other outdoor activity in staying informed and educated on all issues that could affect us.

We are giving HALF of the proceeds from this shirt directly to HOWL to help with their cause. Half of the proceeds is essentially equal to 100% of the profits from the shirt so your money is directly going to the cost to make the shirts and to HOWL. We have had some awesome partners step up to match donations as well so we are well on our way to provide a substantial amount of money to HOWL at the end of this campaign.
